Mrs. BirdHeidi Bird teaches classroom music and directs the school choruses at Grace Miller, La Verne Heights, Oak Mesa and Shull Elementary Schools. She also directs Music Express and Allegro Honor Choirs comprised of students from the same schools. Mrs. Bird brings a wealth of experience in both choral music and musical theatre in North Carolina and California. Mrs. Bird earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the College of Wooster and a Master of Arts in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University. Mrs. Bird is proud to be teaching in Bonita Unified School District where her husband Jeff Bird is the Director of Bands at Bonita High School and her daughters attend Ramona Middle School and Bonita High School. She believes that music education should always be fun and engaging while challenging students to grow.

Ms. BrightbillHeidi Brightbill has been teaching music professionally for thirteen years, but has been a musician since birth! She is a third-generation choral director and professional singer; her grandfather was the choral director at the University of La Verne (La Verne College at the time). She is in her ninth year teaching choral and classroom music at Allen Avenue, Ekstrand, Gladstone, and Roynon Elementary Schools. Ms. Brightbill directs the honor choirs Music In Motion and Descant and is also the musical director for the theater department at San Dimas High School, where she also taught American Sign Language for four years. She is the soprano soloist/section leader and bell choir director at the La Verne Church of the Brethren. Ms. Brightbill earned her bachelors degree in Music Education from CSU Fullerton and a teaching credential from CSU Long Beach.
