Attendance

Only two unexcused rehearsal absences (out of eleven rehearsals) are allowed and all performances are mandatory.  An unexcused absence is an absence from rehearsal after attending school the same day.  Appointments or sports commitments are not considered excused unless discussed with and approved by Mrs. Bird at least one day before rehearsal.  Being late to rehearsal three times is considered the equivalent of one unexcused absence.  Any combinations of unexcused absences and tardies that totals three absences will result in dismissal from Allegro. This is a serious commitment for you and your child.  While your child has been selected to sing in this honor choir, if you are not able or willing to make this commitment there is a waiting list of students who will fill your child's spot.

Academic/Behavior

Being chosen for “Allegro” is an honor and should be treated as such.  Outstanding behavior is expected at all times.  Loss of privileges including participation in “Allegro” could occur for inappropriate behavior in class or during rehearsal.

Academic success is a prerequisite for being a member of Allegro. Not turning in homework, meeting AR goals or finishing classwork in a timely manner could result in removal from Allegro.
